Job Description

Main Objective:

Provide technical and clinical support for the training curriculum that addresses the changing needs of Arthrex sales force, in-house personnel and surgeon customers. Assist in the organization and conduct surgeon motor skills labs and training sessions offered by Arthrex.

Resource for the product management, engineering, sales management, web master and regulatory affairs.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains a thorough understanding of the Arthrex product line: features, benefits, pricing and sales strategies as well as the following:

  1. Develops and conducts sales training on company products.
  • Carry out the objectives created for Arthrex Sales Representative product training programs.
  • Teaches all aspects of current procedure-specific surgical techniques using Arthrex instruments,
  • Implement for the Sales force a general understanding of the orthopedic conditions, patho anatomy, and biomechanics as it relates to the utilization of Arthrex Products in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Assist in the development of an internet based program of sales representative training modules.
  1. Participation in Surgeon Education Training Program
  • Serve as a liaison for organization and implementation of Surgeon Education Training Program
  • Train surgeons in use of Arthrex products.
  • Assist in the Organization and execution of cadaver workshops.
  1. Develop marketing pieces and assist in product market initiatives.
  • Writes surgical techniques, instrument system manuals, video scripts, cd rom animations and advertisements.
  1. Provide assistance to Research and Development of products.
  • Support of Product Development process via team interaction with Product Management Team and engineering staff.
  • Interfaces with product management team and engineering to provide pertinent design criteria regarding form and function of surgical instruments.
  1. Writes, produce, direct, and edit cd rom and video productions for the following audiences:
  • Surgical techniques for education of key surgeons and sales representatives.
  • In-service programs for education of sales reps and OR personnel responsible for operation and care of instrument systems.
  • Sales/Marketing programs for sales and promotional marketing purposes.
  • Provide content for Web site Maintenance
  1. Interfaces with customer service to provide technical support for customer base and sales force.
  2. Travel up to 20% of the time.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in one of the bio-medical sciences or related field required or equivalent.

Show progression over 1-2 years towards an in-depth knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures. 5 years in the orthopedic industry (arthroscopy) or an MD.

Experience as an Orthopedic Physician Assistant preferred.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Ability to teach and develop training materials is necessary.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PCs and have a command of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word plus any additional communications equipment as needed.
