Full-Time Family Physician Assistant/ Family Nurse Practitioner

As a part of a multidisciplinary team, a family nurse practitioner or physician assistant will provide full-spectrum patient care under the direction of a supervising physician and with the support of nursing and behavioral health staff. The NP or PA offers increased access to existing patients while building his or her own panel. The NP or PA can expect to provide health maintenance visits as well as episodic illness or chronic disease care to patients.
Responsibilities include: providing direct medical services, psychosocial screening and evaluations to patients; performing a variety of medical procedures such as biopsies, incision and drainage, cryotherapy, and minor surgical procedures; maintaining patient records and documentation; and participating in educational conferences, training efforts, and practice improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Appropriate Massachusetts licensure as well as Board certification
- Minimum of 2 years of primary care clinical experience as an NP or PA
- An interest in and/or experience with family medicine or Med/Peds is preferred
- Interest in LGBT health highly desirable
- Experience treating people living with HIV/AIDS is preferred
- The provider will be expected to maintain controlled substance licensure in MA and a federal DEA license
- Experience working in an ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse environment preferred
- Ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals required
