Full-Time Forensic Examiner Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Job Description
Sutter Medical Group is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join an established Forensic Examiner team in Sacramento, CA. The On-Call Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) for the Bridging Evidence Assessment and Resources (BEAR) Program will perform forensic evidentiary examinations on children, adolescents and adult victims, as well as suspects. Knowledge and training in the area of pediatrics, child abuse, domestic violence, sexual violence, and women?s health recommended. Prior training in sexual assault evidentiary exams is preferred; however training is available for the motivated applicant. Duties include patient history, physical assessment, evaluation, treatment and clinical management of patients, under the supervision of the Medical Director. The SAFE BEAR examiner will take call from home and respond to the clinical facility when requested. Applicants must be Nationally Certified and eligible for a California License.
