Busy Oncology/Hematology practice in Frederick, MD is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our team full-time. The NP will perform history and physicals, assess and treat patients’ acute and chronic illnesses and work with a team to provide excellent care to patients with cancer and blood disorders. Experience in Hematology/Oncology is not required. New graduates are welcome to apply. The position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Major Duties:
The position of the nurse practitioner consists of providing advanced evidenced-based nursing care and treatment to patients including but not limited to the following:
• Performing history and physical examinations
• Ordering diagnostic tests based on assessments
• Developing treatment plans
• Prescribing drugs or other therapies
• Making referrals as necessary
• Documenting findings in the electronic medical record
• Consulting with supervising medical provider when appropriate.
• Counseling patients and families regarding care
• Reviewing and responding to referrals from within and outside the clinic.
• Maintaining patient confidentiality
Qualifications
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current Maryland CRNP licensure
• Certified as an adult or family NP
• Current Maryland CDS registration and Maryland DEA license.
• Current Certification in CPR
• Efficient computer skills: EMR, Microsoft Word
• Proven experience working both independently and in teams
• Good communication skills, both written and oral
