We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nurse Practitioner in Cardiovascular PACU/Cardiothoracic Surgery. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to practice in an inpatient setting and be responsible for performing physical assessments and therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, assisting with discharge planning; and coordinating patient care with other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
To qualify you must have a Master’s degree in Nursing, current registration as a Professional Nurse in NY and registration as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in NY with prescriptive privileges plus ACLS and BLS and national Certification as an Acute Care NP with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Critical care experience as an RN or an NP is required. Excellent communication skills are essential; membership in pertinent professional organizations preferred.
