We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. As part of a family-centered care program, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of infants in the Level III NICU of Bellevue Hospital. This includes admission and stabilization of critically ill infants; completion of history and physical exams; formulation of diagnoses; and development, implementation, and evaluation of treatment plans and discussion at rounds. You will also attend high-risk deliveries, and emergency situations in the NICU, labor and delivery suites and newborn nurseries and be involved in neonatal transport.
To qualify, you must have a Master’s Degree in Nursing, NYS License/Registration both as a RN, NP or PA, and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification with prescriptive privileges. A minimum of three years of NICU experience and strong skills in high-risk neonatal procedures (e.g. intubation, central line placement, chest tube placement, etc) are also required. Excellent communication skills are essential; membership in pertinent professional organizations preferred.
