Job Description

Neurology Division of JCMC is searching for a PA to join our dynamic team of neurohospitalist and outpatient neurologists. Our Neurology team functions on the philosophy of constant on-the-job learning and skills improvement for our team members. Physician extender (or PA ) will be provided an ongoing neurology specific curriculum that are specifically focused on neurological diagnoses, management, neuroimaging and EEG studies. Our long term goal is in train each PA to be astute and knowledgeable about management of neurological conditions. The initial responsibilities will be primarily inpatient-oriented. In the long-term, outpatient exposure can be created for the mid level provider.

The following items are important for strong consideration
• Neurology experience is a bonus, but not required
• Responsible for evaluating neurology patients in the ER, ICU and inpatient units.
• Work closely with Neurologist to execute Stroke algorithm and status epilepticus management.
