We’re growing — come grow with us!  Physicians Inpatient Care Specialists (MDICS) is seeking experienced Pain Management nurse practitioners and/or physician assistants to join our team.  The NP/PA will assist in marketing, designing and implementing pain management services at the busy and growing regional medical center to provide services to joint and spine, surgical, medical and cancer patients.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and developing Pain Management Service
• Direct patient care to include initial consultants and follow-up visits
• Participate in hospital committees
• Competently perform History and Physical exams
• Competently perform Consultations on existing patients
• Provide cross coverage support as requested by medical staff
• Round on existing hospitalist patients and on facility medical staff patients as requested
• Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA Program
• Maryland License
• Two (2) years NP / PA experience desired, not mandatory
• Must have previous Pain Management experience
• Must be able to work independently
• Have a sincere desire to assist in developing and growing the practice
• Understanding of E&M coding
