PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT/NURSE PRACTITIONER Critical Care * Full Time St. Francis Hospital- The Heart Center Roslyn, New York

As a key member of our team, you will be an integral part of the delivery of high quality health care practices, while assisting with patient assessments, and providing support for our critical care efforts. You will be expected to: Provide a high level of patient care under the direction of a supervising physician in the hospital setting covering CTICU, SICU, MICU and Intermediate Care Units. Partner with the surgical and medical team in the evaluation and treatment of patients. Collect and documents data, conduct diagnostics and therapeutic procedures, order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations, and provide direct patient care. To qualify, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree, valid New York State license with Certification as a Physician’s Assistant, and 1 year experience, preferably within a critical care setting. ACLS required. Previous advanced practice provider experience in a critical care unit and proficiency in managing care of cardiac critical care patients (including insertion of invasive lines) preferred. You must also be flexible and possess excellent teamwork and communication skills.
