We are currently seeking an energetic certified Physician Assistant, preferably with interventional radiology experience, to rotate through 3 hospitals in Seattle, Kirkland and
Issaquah. The qualified individual will participate clinically in managing IR patients, performing needle procedures, including ultrasound guided paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar punctures, venous access, joint injections
and tubes. They will also be expected to work with Radia’s Physicians and Physician Assistant team to ensure coverage, including shared on call duty. Radia offers a competitive salary, including a rich benefit package and 21 days paid time off per year.

The Physician Assistant functions within the clinical practice setting as an independent, mid-level provider to facilitate the productivity of Radiologists or Vascular Surgeons and provide quality patient care.

Responsibilities –

Patient Preparation/Follow up: Prepare patient for examination by explaining the procedure and obtaining
pertinent clinical history through direct questioning and review of patient’s charts and/or from outside referral sources. Discuss pertinent findings with physician. Provide information on follow-up care to ensure success of the exam.
Documentation: Uses available technology to produce clear and thoroughhistory and physical examination, orders, and reports to meet hospital standards consistent with established protocols. Thoroughly records and documents findings and procedures for inclusion in patient Medical Record.
Fosters a Positive and Accepting Environment: Effectively uses verbal, written and non-verbal communication to deliver a message that delivers intended results. Presents pleasant appearance and approachable demeanor when dealing with physicians, patients and staff.

Education and Experience –
Experience: One to two years Physician Assistant experience in a Radiology or surgical setting under the guidance of a physician. Preferred experience performing imaging guided procedures required.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study.

Certifications: Current Physician Assistant Certification, Current DEA Washington State Licensure, Current National Certification as prescribed by the NCCPA. Current ACLS certification.
