Are you a Physician Assistant looking for a new professional opportunity working with a team of Emergency Department providers in a beautiful historic community on the Missouri River?  AtchisonHospital has an opening for a Physician Assistant with at least 5 years experience as an Emergency Department provider.

AtchisonHospital is a 25 bed Critical Access hospital in Northeast Kansas. Our Emergency Department has one on-site provider per shift with the Physician Assistant working as the sole provider. At all times there is a back-up on call primary care physician. We also have a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician Medical Director for the Department. All providers currently working in the Emergency Department are employed by AtchisonHospital and/or are primary care physicians on our active medical staff.

Our Emergency Department has nine bays. The Emergency Department currently sees approximately 650 patients a month.

The town of Atchison is located in Northeastern Kansas on the Missouri river. It is 18 miles from St. Joseph, Missouri, and only an hour to Kansas City or Topeka. Atchison has a population of just over 10,000 and is the hometown of Amelia Earhart and has a number of historical homes.
