Physician Assistant – Pain Management

Dept. of Orthopedics: Physical medicine and rehab. / non-surgical spine care / pain management position
Busy Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician in the Dept. of Orthopedics at a large multispecialty medical group is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner. Physician’s practice focuses on nonsurgical / interventional spine, musculoskeletal injuries, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and pain management. Located in Westchester County, NY (White Plains and Yonkers office locations)
Responsibilities include: Evaluating patients, determining appropriate diagnostic tests, formulating treatment plans, prescribing medications, performing trigger point injections, and assisting the physician during all aspects of patient care in the office setting.
The candidate must be highly motivated, conscientious, personable, and demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and with others in a team-oriented environment. Experience in nonsurgical spine care, physical medicine and rehabilitation, orthopedics / musculoskeletal medicine, or pain management preferred, but would be willing to train the right new PA grad. NY licence is required.
Office is equipped with EMR system and offers full services in Radiology, Physical Therapy, MRI, CT Scan as well as multiple specialists for referrals, including orthopedic spine surgeon. In addition there is an office based fluoroscopy suite for spinal injections.
No weekends. No call. No inpatient responsibilities.
