Job Title: Physician Assistant (PA) with Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation / Pain Management Practice

Job Description:

Part-time position, flexible days/hours
100% outpatient practice
No call, nights, weekends
Supervising physician will provide additional training as needed (documentation, E&M coding, pharmacology, procedural, etc.)
Requirement: NCCPA certification, Virginia Board of Medicine PA License, DEA License

Provide care to patients acting as an assistant to the supervising physician following established standards and practices.
Perform comprehensive and problem focused history and physical examinations on new and established patients.
Interpret and correlate subjective/objective data and diagnostic tests.
Establish working diagnoses and formulate treatment plans.
Order additional diagnostic tests as needed.
Provide patient counseling and instruction regarding patient problems and treatment plans.
Will be proficient with the prescription and management of analgesic and adjuvant analgesic medications and physical therapy treatment/modalities.
Will be proficient with soft-tissue and joint injection procedures.
Will be proficient with providing appropriate patient care documentation via the electronic medical record.
