Job Description

The position serves as an advanced practice nurse providing psychiatric care in an outpatient transitional care setting in collaboration with physicians and other members of the health care team to a psychiatric patient population. The position also maintains an advanced knowledge base and skills in health promotion and maintenance, disease prevention, physical and psychosocial assessment, and management of behavioral health and illness.

Examination and diagnosis of psychiatric patients in an outpatient transitional care setting.

Devise treatment plans for and prescribe medications for psychiatric patients in an outpatient transitional care setting

Other duties as assigned, including teaching and supervisory duties.

This position requires proof of pre-hire immunizations and testing.

State licensure as an RN and graduation from a Nurse Practitioners program or Masters degree in Nursing with certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer experience working with psychiatric patient population. Must be able to use all applications of Microsoft Office, learn to use specialized software, use all general office equipment (copier, fax, telephones, printers, etc.).
