Job Description

Surgical Care Associates, Ltd., a private general and vascular surgery practice in the Southern Suburbs of Chicago, has an immediate opening for a physician assistant. The individual will provide medical services for surgical patients under the supervision of SCA surgeons. Essential job functions include rounding on surgical inpatients, providing first surgical assistance in OR procedures, and evaluating postsurgical patients in the office setting. Rotating weekend hours required. Professional or practicum experience preferred.

Qualifications include:

•  BS/MA in Physician Assistant Studies, Health Science or Medical Science
• Certified Surgical Assistant 

Physical requirements: Some bending and stretching required. Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds occasionally. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination required. Requires ability to sustain concentration in a noisy and fast-paced environment.

Salary based on experience and qualifications.
