Job Description

Location: U.S. Army Medical Department Activity (MEDDAC) Medical In-Processing (MIP) and Medical Readiness Clinic, Fort Drum, New York.
POP: 1 year base with (4) 1 year opts
Pay Rate: $65/hr (1099 contract)

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICIATIONS-NURSE PRACTITIONER. Contractor’s employees shall have the following qualifications, documentation and shall:
Be a graduate of an approved school of nursing and maintain a current, unencumbered registered nursing and nurse practitioner license. The license must be one granted by the recognized licensing agency of any of the fifty (50) states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands (licensure requirement is in accordance with AR 40-66, Section V, Professional Licensure).
Be certified with a certification from one of the following: American Nurse Credentialing Center, National Certification Board of Nurse Practitioners and Nurses; or the Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Possess a current Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration.
Have and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) prior to employment. Certification must be by American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross approved training program and individual must demonstrate ability to initiate CPR in event of respiratory or cardiopulmonary arrest. Certifications must be renewed every year at no additional cost to the Government.
Have spent a minimum of two (2) years within the past five (5) years practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in a family medicine or primary care, preferably in an urgent care and/or family practice type setting. The quality of performance will be confirmed by both the offeror’s credential packet and letters of reference submitted on behalf of the offeror from current/previous clinical supervisors and/or residency directors and peers/colleagues.
Be a U.S. citizen, and provide proof; ie. original immigration papers, passport.
Be able to read, write, speak and understand English well enough to effectively communicate with all patients and other health care providers.
Continue education requirements annually to maintain clinic credentials, enhance competencies and augment professional skills at no additional cost to the Government.
Have excellent typing skills and experience using computers with programs specifically for electronic medical records documentation.
Shall demonstrate ability in the areas of interpersonal relations, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
