Part-Time Clinician (NP, PA, MD)
Job Description
As part of a collaborative team serving the underserved community, this part-time (24 hrs/week) position supports the philosophy of providing quality professional care for patient’s medical, physical and psychosocial needs. Also provides health education for defined population, orders appropriate screening and diagnostic testing, pharmacological and durable goods, recognizing limited resources available. Performs follow-up work on all labs, imaging studies and other diagnostic studies and performs minor procedures. This position would also back up the on-staff Medical Director position.
The Clinician plays a key role in an agency fueled by a broad and committed corps of volunteer physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other medical professionals. A solid corps of lay volunteers provide assistance to our medical professionals. This medical facility provides free medical services and prescriptions to low-income, working adults without insurance and has been in the community for over 15 years serving the underserved individuals of our community.
The Eugene-Springfield area offers an abundance of health, fitness, recreational, outdoor and cultural activities, and is proudly lacking in traffic jams and air pollution. Known as “Track Town USA,” the area is home to the University of Oregon, with its nationally ranked sports teams and internationally renowned Oregon Bach Festival. The Oregon Coast and its sweeping dunes, dramatic rocky shoreline vistas, and uncrowded beaches lie about an hour’s drive to the west. Alpine ski areas in the Oregon Cascade Mountains are an hour’s drive to the east.
