Full-Time Experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Urology)
Job Description
A well-respected and established Urology practice, in the San Diego area, is currently seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide services. The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to urology patients under the supervision and responsibility of a Physician. Candidates must have a passion for excellent patient care and work well in team environment. Experienced PA or NP.
About this Job:

- Performs physical examinations of patients; evaluation and treatment of urologic conditions in the office setting
- Procedures performed/providing assistance with but not limited to: catheters, injections, and cystoscopies
- Medical management of the following conditions but not limited to: hematuria, kidney stones, urologic oncology, most all acute urologic conditions, post-operative follow ups.
- Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.
- Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed
- Displays a caring and professional attitude at all time as well as maintaining personal and professional growth
- Mon-Fri, no weekends or on call
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
Benefits and Features:
- $100-120,000 annual salary, depending on experience

Background Profile:
- Expertise in Urology as NP or PA
- Open to new grads with rounding in Urology or previous experience in Urology
- (CA) NP or PA License
- MSN/ APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse)/ARNP / FNP, GNP, ANP, NP-BC, Family, Adult
- Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and current California license
- Certification through the NCCPA
