The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients in the hospice program, while functioning within the guidelines and requirements of the Colorado State Board of Nursing for Advanced Practice. The Nurse Practitioner functions as a member of the Interdisciplinary Group and collaborates closely with the physicians, nurses and other professionals while reporting to the Chief Medical Officer. Included in this position description are the essential functions required. The Nurse Practitioner is able to work with neonates through geriatrics.
Required Certification/License: Current Colorado Nurse Practitioner License
Colorado state driver’s license
Skills:

• ANA (American Nurses Association) Scope and Standards of Advanced Nursing Practice
• Proficient using Windows platform and Microsoft applications
• Skills and abilities as listed in Position Accountabilities and Performance Criteria.
