Job Description

Antelope Valley Community Clinic is expanding its Lancaster and Palmdale locations. We are looking for experienced FNP’s or PA’s with current California License to work in our Urgent Care and also Pre-Natal services.  Bilingual preferred.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of medicine related to area of focus in this case Urgent Care and Pre-Natal Care
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience with EMR’s in particular ECW.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with patients of diverse races, ethnicities, ages, and sexual orientations in a multicultural environment;
  4. For Pre-Natal at least 2 years in women’s health, pre-natal exams.
  5. For Urgent Care at least 2 years’ experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Room.
  6. TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE
  1. Current license to practice in California;
  2. Nurse Practitioner: Board-certified within 1-2 year of employment or Board eligible for American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult Nurse Practitioner or Women’s Health.
  3. Physician Assistant: Board Certified by The Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  4. For the Nurse Practitioner, possession of Furnishing Number from the State of California, Board of Registered Nursing and a DEA number.
  5. For the Physician Assistant, possession of DEA number.
  6. Current BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
