Nurse Practitioner Job Description
Master’s Degree in Nursing
5+ years Nursing experience, 2 years as Certified Nurse Practitioner (experience preferred)
Valid Virginia Nurse Practitioner license
Ability to work with a team and take direction
Must be familiar with EHR training system
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
Responsibilities:
Perform initial patient screenings and patient history and physical examinations
Update patient records, check records for accuracy at each patient appointment
Analyze test data and determine the need for follow –up appointments and further treatment options
Deliver quality care while maintaining all company metrics pertaiing to productivity
Serve as the resource patients need for ongoing care information, counseling and provide guidances for any patients with critical conditions
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals
Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex acuate, critical and chronicaly ill perioperative patients
Willingness to learn and provide one-on-one treatment and care for all types of musculoskeletal problems, injuries, and pathologies.
Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s age-specific needs.
Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
Willingness to participate and take personal marketing initiatives to visit local providers, acute-care health systems, nursing homes, urgent care centers, etc. to generate patient demand for services
Salary commensurate with experience
