Job Description

Physician Assistant – Certified

The Physician Assistant -Certified (PA-C) provides support to physicians and the goal of the PA is to optimize surgical patient flow both in the office and in the hospitals. PAs are subject to the medical direction and supervision of the supervising physicians, as required under Texas law, when performing medical services.

Performs exams, visits, assists in the operating room/angio suite. Familiar with non-invasive testing techniques: carotid duplex, vein mapping, and arterial Doppler studies. Diagnosis, plan of care, order and interpret routine diagnostic studies. Perform therapeutic/corrective measures, prescribes, provide counseling, document visits in EMR, including ICD and CPT codes for billing. Enhance professional growth, participation in educational programs, in-services and workshops.

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position, be licensed as a Physician Assistant with the State of Texas, and have current NCCPA and ACLS certification.
