Southeast Colorado Hospital District (SECHD) has been serving the people and communities of rural Baca County for over forty years. The District was established in 1966 as a not-for-profit hospital and officially opened its doors in 1969 with 23 acute care beds. Since that time the District has followed its vision “to provide a comprehensive healthcare system to our isolated rural service area” through an active pursuit of enhanced health care services. Some key services added in fulfillment of this vision include the addition of a 40 bed intermediate care Long Term Care Center, establishment of a Home Health Agency and Hospice, and the building of a 16 bed secured Alzheimer’s Care Unit. SECHD’s vision continued when the Specialty Physicians Clinic program was developed, and most recently in 2007 when the new Physicians Medical Clinic facility was completed.

Small, rural hospital district in Southeast Colorado is seeking a mid-level provider for their busy clinic and hospital. The family medicine clinic is a new facility fully staffed with LPNs, RNs, Care Coordinator, Patient Navigator and Certified Coder. Two full time physicians on staff and one half time mid-level. Provider will rotate ER call with other providers, normally 1 day per week, weekends negotiable. Clinic hours are 9am-6pm M-Th and 9am-5pm on Friday. Usual patient load 10-15 patients/day clinic.
Requires: In addition to holding certification, BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS are required within 6 months of hire. Salary and benefits on par with current market and commensurate with experiences and amount of ER call taken. Experience is preferred however the right new grad would be considered.
