Full-Time Physician Assistant (PA) – Orthopaedics
Job Description
Westmed Medical Group is seeking a full time Physician Assistant to join a busy Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician in the Department of Orthopaedics offices located in Yonkers, NY and White Plains, NY.
The Physician’s practice focuses on nonsurgical / interventional spine, musculoskeletal injuries, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and pain management.
The office is equipped with a complete EMR system and offers full services in Radiology, Physical Therapy, MRI, CT Scan as well as multiple specialists for referrals, including orthopedic spine surgeon. In addition there is an office based fluoroscopy suite for spinal injections.
- Evaluate patients.
- Determine appropriate diagnostic tests.
- Formulate treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications.
- Perform trigger point injections.
- Assist the physician during all aspects of patient care in the office setting.
- There are no inpatient responsibilities.
- Experience in nonsurgical spine care, physical medicine and rehabilitation, orthopedics / musculoskeletal medicine, or pain management preferred, but would train the right new graduate.
- Current New York Physician Assistant license is required.
- The candidate must be highly motivated, conscientious and personable.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Must have the ability to work well both independently and with others in a team-oriented environment.
