Full-Time Principal Faculty, Physician Assistant Program
Job Description
The Physician Assistant Program at Marist College is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as a member of principal faculty. The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative team that is focused on establishing a strong, successful Physician Assistant Program. The Program’s Principal Faculty will work with the Program Director and staff in Marist’s new Allied Health building. This new facility contains dedicated resources for the PA program to include offices for faculty and support staff, conference room, high-tech classroom, on-site suite of clinical simulation labs and a traditional gross anatomy facility to support the learning experience.
This is a full-time, 12-month position that will report to the Program Director and will work closely with students and program faculty and staff. Salary and rank for the position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have experience in a higher education setting, demonstrated effective communication and collaborative skills in a team-oriented environment, and a history of successful time management. In addition, the following are additional skills and qualifications required for the position:
- Current NCCPA certification
- Current license or eligibility for licensing as a physician assistant in the State of New York
- 1-3 years’ academic experience
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience (primary care), preferred
- A master’s degree from an ARC-PA accredited program, or doctorally trained MD, DO, PhD, or EdD
