Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery

Heritage Valley Health System is seeking two Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners to join their well-established Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgical Division.

The successful candidate will join two current Physician Assistants and office staff. He/she will work closely with three Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons in the group. Our practice performs a diverse case mix of cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgical procedures.

HeritageValley Health System is located in Western Pennsylvania, approximately 35 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. The area offers low cost of living and excellent school systems. There is easy access to PittsburghInternationalAirport. A wide range of options, including outdoor activities, cultural activities, professional and collegiate sporting events, restaurants and shopping are available for your enjoyment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Surgical first assisting
  • Endovascular vein/radial artery harvesting;
  • All aspects of preop and postoperative management
  • Hospital rounds and consultations
  • Outpatient clinic
  • Surgical on call duties
