Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work in Occupational Health for Hospital in the Boston area
Job Summary: Full time position providing primary care and occupational health clinical services to site employees. The position is primarily clinical. You will work both independently and in collaboration with the medical director, administrative leaders, and nursing staff in the Clinic ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Reports to the Associate Director of Occupational Health.
Hours: Monday – Friday 7:30am-4pm
To qualify for this job you’ll need: at least 2 years of PA-C experience in Occupational Health, ER and/or Critical care; MA license; DEA; Current BLS and ACLS Certification and Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (OHN) is desirable
Your day: Employee Health Management
- Provides triage for emergency injuries. Participates in developing, refining, and responding to the incident reporting process for workplace injuries and potential issues. Performs routine office procedures that are medically necessary (basic first aid, sprains, etc.).
- Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats work-related injuries and illnesses. Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate lab and diagnostic tests to assess employee health care needs.
- Evaluates outcome of employee care, makes necessary revision of care plans and arranges for follow-up. Collaborates with physicians and other health care professionals to manage employee care.
- Performs physical examinations as deemed appropriate.
