Be part of our team. Children’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is seeking a clinic-based Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide care for our patients and their amazing families. This role is with Children’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, Children’s Surgical Specialty Group in Norfolk, VA and maintains a typical schedule of full-time days.
Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine | Health | CHKD
Our physicians and staff are uniquely positioned to support southeastern Virginia and northeast North Carolina with four locations. With a clinical team comprised of seven pediatric orthopedic surgeons and seven office-based advanced practice providers, the team is well suited to take care of the pediatric orthopedics needs of the community. We are looking for a candidate that wants to grow their pediatric orthopedic knowledge and join a collegial environment focused on providing the best care to our patients and families. Here with Children’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, you will have a wide variety of experiences including working side by side with a surgeon in clinic, running independent clinics, rounding at the main hospital, and occasional OR time at the main hospital or at one of our ambulatory surgery centers.

An ideal candidate will possess:
- Current State license as an APRN or PA with specialization in Family or Pediatrics.
- Physician Assistants – Current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification required.
- Nurse Practitioner – Current certification from the Orthopaedic Nurses Certification Board (ONCB) preferred.
