Full-Time Certified Physician Assistant
Job Description
Dr. John Graves is currently seeking a full-time PA-C to work at our Guilford Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center Division. Dr. Graves has a general orthopedic practice heavy in sports medicine and joint replacement. This is a day-time position in a busy environment with minimal nighttime and weekend requirements.

Responsibilities include:
- Preparing patient for physician visit, including identifying reason for visit, ordering x-rays, pulling tests, pre-operatives for in office surgical procedures,
- Applying casts, dressings, splints and braces as appropriate,
- Educating patients on wide array of issues including care of casts and dressings, prescriptions, follow-up instructions, some home exercise instructions;
- Performing first assist duty in surgery;
- Follow up with patients as indicated;
- Supervise any medical students, physician assistant students present in clinic or OR.
Education and/or experience required:
- Completion of accredited M.A. Physician Assistant program;
- Certified Physician Assistant
- NC State license
- DEA license
- 1-3 years prior orthopedic technologist or related experience including casting, splinting;
- 1-3 years general medicine experience;
- Working knowledge of orthopedic terminology, narcotics/medication, medical office operations;
