Full-Time Orthopedic Physician Assistant
Job Description
South Hills Orthopaedic Surgery Associates is seeking an Orthopedic Physician Assistant to provide medical services under the direction of our Board-certified Upper Extremity Specialist.
Qualifications
Education: Masters degree required, graduate of an NCCPA accredited physician assistant program
Experience: Prefer a minimum of 2 years experience working in a physician practice with surgery experience
Licensure: PA license to work in Pennsylvania required. NCCPA certification required
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assess patients by obtaining health history, orders appropriate diagnostic and other screening tests, develops and implements treatment plans by prescribing/dispensing medications and/or injections in compliance with practice guidelines and state laws.
Handles incision care, assists with surgery procedures, collaborates with physicians in managing patient care.
Communicates case management information to other professionals, manages and responds to internal communications, prepares documentation for medical records.
Performs other duties as assigned
