We are a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgery and medspa practice with 20+ years of experience. We are located on the beautiful central California coast where there are over 300 wineries in our immediate vicinity.

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant with a strong interest in plastic surgery and cosmetic treatments. The applicant will work closely with our team to provide unparalleled service, safe and effective treatments. Treatments involve application/injection of neuromodulators, fillers, lasers, and other effective non-invasive treatments in addition to assisting the plastic surgeon during surgery.
You will be responsible for assessing, treating, and documenting on your clients and will work closely with our team and surgeon to provide continuity of care throughout our plastic surgery and esthetics practice. Excellent communication skills are a must as you will be working closely with our entire team.
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and counsel new nonsurgical cosmetic and non-cosmetic patients.
  • Perform nonsurgical cosmetic treatments within scope of training under doctor’s supervision, including: injections of neuromodulators and fillers, laser treatments, and other modalities
  • First assist in plastic surgery procedures, including: breast surgery, abdominoplasty, facial cosmetic surgery, and reconstructive surgery.
  • Utilize social media to promote our office and your skills
  • Sell nonsurgical cosmetic treatments, skin care, and surgical procedures in consultative fashion.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately, in a timely manner, and thoroughly in accordance with company standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with team including physicians, Medical Assistants, Patient Coordinators and others daily clinical and surgical schedule and is able to anticipate and be prepared to meet needs of patients.
  • Excellent customer service and bedside manner
  • Ensures the highest level of patient care and patient service is provided at all times
  • Consistently follow policies and procedures to ensure positive patient outcomes
  • Tactful, mature and able to get along with diverse personalities
  • Other Duties: Complete projects and perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the Practice Manager and surgeons.
  • Stay abreast and provide education to patients of plastic surgery and esthetic treatments that we offer, as well as ones we don’t.
  • Occasional call for our patients after hours and on weekends
Experience:
  • We are willing to train the right person, but surgical experience required], and injection and laser experience preferred.
  • Current PA degree and California and DEA license required
  • Current ACLS/BLS
Desirable qualifications:
  • Experience working in a plastic surgery office is a plus!
  • Familiarity with plastic surgical procedures
  • Positive, energetic, calm attitude is a must
  • Attention to detail
  • Passion for assisting patients before and after their surgical procedure to become their better selves
  • Creative thinker with the ability to identify and solve problems
  • Ability to function well both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask under pressure and be highly responsive to patients & team members
