Be part of our team. Children’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is seeking a hospital-based PA or NP for overnights to provide care for our patients and their amazing families. This role is with Children’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, Children’s Surgical Specialty Group in Norfolk, VA.
Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine | Health | CHKD
This position has been uniquely created to serve the hospital’s pediatric orthopedic overnight needs while helping to support our Orthopedic Surgeons who are on call. Responsibilities include performing hospital emergency department consults, conducting hospital rounds, handling Urgent Care transfers, and may occasionally act as a first assistant in the operating room. With a clinical team comprised of seven pediatric orthopedic surgeons and seven office-based physician assistants, the practice is well suited to take care of the pediatric orthopedics needs of the community. We are looking for a candidate that wants to grow their pediatric orthopedic knowledge and join a collegial environment focused on providing the best care to our patients and families.

An ideal candidate will possess:
- Current State license as an APRN or PA with specialization in Family or Pediatrics.
- Physician Assistants – Current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification required.
- Nurse Practitioner – Current certification from the Orthopaedic Nurses Certification Board (ONCB) preferred.
