Nurse Practitioner
Job Description: Works collaboratively with practice Medical Oncologists caring for oncology and hematology patients. Scope of responsibility includes ability to take a comprehensive history and perform a complete/comprehensive physical exam. Requires the ability to assess diagnostic studies, lab results, radiographics and pathology, as well as triage, diagnose, and treat emergencies including anaphylaxis. Must be able to perform bone marrow biopsies and skin biopsies.
Education and/or Experience Requirements: Successful completion of a N.P. program with a Master of Science degree. Minimum one year post graduate oncology experience. Current State/National Certification, DEA license and ACLS certification. Requires experience and knowledge in the diagnosis, treatment and management of adult oncology/hematology patients.
