Job Description

Professionals, Inc, a private addiction medicine and general medical group, is seeking a part time NP.  Professionals, Inc, in conjunction with AdCare Hospital of Worcester, MA, provides substance abuse treatment to a large population throughout an integrated system of care.

Summary: Under the general supervision of the physician conducts comprehensive health assessments on newly admitted patients both in detox and rehab; will work collaboratively with the physician and nursing staff in the care of patients.

Licensure: Current MA NP license. Valued Certified Addictions Registered Nurse and/or experience in addiction/psych.

Education: MA in Nursing

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Primary care practice experience.  Written communications – ability to summarize and communicate complex information. Oral communications- ability to comprehend and communicate complex information back to physicians and nursing personnel. Team work- ability to work collaboratively with the treatment team crossing various functional areas. Customer Service- empathetic, listens to comprehend what is being communicated. Computer: experience with EMR system required.
