Trauma & Acute Care Surgery – Advanced Practitioner Opportunity
Northeast Georgia Medical Center’s Trauma & Acute Care Surgery (TACS) service line is currently recruiting an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team.
- Work with 4 trauma/surgical critical care trained surgeons and TACS support staff providing care to both trauma and acute care surgery patients; including critical care
- The Advanced Practitioner will function autonomously and in collaboration with the intensivists, surgeons, nurses and other healthcare professionals to diagnose, treat and manage patients with complex injuries and critical illness. The Advanced Practitioner will perform procedures outlined in the privileging agreements, including arterial and central line placement, chest tube insertion, intubation and bronchoscopy. Responsibilities also include patient evaluation and documentation such as H&P, progress notes and discharge summaries.
- Monday – Friday with occasional weekend responsibilities
Trauma OR work with additional floor, ICU and consult work
- Monday – Friday with weekends
- Flexible hours
- Take Charge Attitude
- ER volume of 108,000 per year
- 24/7 Critical Care and Hospitalist coverage.
- 23 new operating rooms with a dedicated Trauma room
- Service area population of 800,000
- Full diagnostic imaging
