PART-TIME PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT OR NURSE PRACTITIONER
Neurology Private Practice – Newport Beach, CA
ABOUT THE PRACTICE
We are a boutique neurology practice in Newport Beach, CA specializing in headache medicine and therapeutic Botox treatments for chronic migraine. Our patient-centered environment offers a collegial, low-stress setting with a focus on quality over volume.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced, licensed PA or NP to join our team on a part-time basis (one or two days a week), to assist with OnabotulinumtoxinA (Botox/PREEMPT protocol) injections for chronic migraine patients. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled injector who enjoys neurological care and wants a flexible schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer therapeutic Botox injections per PREEMPT protocol under physician supervision
- Conduct pre- and post-injection patient assessments
- Document treatments accurately in the EMR
- Collaborate with the supervising neurologist on treatment planning and patient education
- Maintain compliance with California scope-of-practice requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current, unrestricted California PA or NP license (required)
- Experience with Botox injections — therapeutic (migraine/PREEMPT) experience strongly preferred; aesthetic injector experience considered
- Familiarity with headache medicine or neurology preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working in a small practice setting
- NPI number and eligibility for Medicare enrollment preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
- Part-time, flexible scheduling (days/hours negotiable)
- $60-$90 commensurate with experience
- 1099 contractor or W-2 arrangements considered
