Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with ICU experience to work with a reputable group of trauma surgeons in the Surgical ICU of Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, TX. The acuity of the patients seen in our SICU is very high often admitted from our Level II trauma center. The practice in this fast-paced, stimulating environment involves close work with the team of trauma surgeons and multiple consult services. The practice shifts include nights and weekends to provide continuity and flexibility. Research, learning, and teaching opportunities abound with strong support from our staff and fellow physicians.

Summary: Functions in collaboration with a physician according to a standard care arrangement and specialty certification. Provides advanced nursing care to patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic health conditions, including the delivery of acute care services.
