Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) APRN/PA Advanced Pain Care is undergoing tremendous growth and we are excited to announce job openings at our new Austin and Killeen locations, as well as our Round Rock and Waco facilities, all in the great state of Texas. JOB DESCRIPTION The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant is a licensed independent practitioner and member of our professional team who is responsible for managing and coordinating health care for our pain management patients. The APRN or PA is required to follow both State and Federal rules and regulations and standards of care, including but not limited to the assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status. JOB DUTIES Primary and essential job duties are as follows:

  • Functions independently performing age-appropriate history and physicals for complex pain management perioperative patients.
  • Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
  • Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability, including but not limited to ordering appropriate durable medical equipment and devices.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of interventions

JOB REQUIREMENTS Skills & Expertise:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
  • Current License: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Current Texas Medical Board Certification
  • Current Texas DPS
  • Current DEA license
  • Current NPI number
  • Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Strong computer skills and ability to effectively navigate Electronic Medical Record
