Job Description

A major metropolitan teaching hospital is looking for a full-time Physician Assistant to join the Neurology Service.  The incumbent will work closely with the Neurology Service providers and rotating Specialty residents. Assessment/ evaluation of patients, history and physicals, disability examinations, continuity of care of Neurology patients, recording all necessary documentation, assisting in the assessments of outpatient consults as well as seeing patients needing “follow-up” will be the responsibility of the incumbent.

Candidates must have a broad competency in general medical care performing comprehensive assessments. At least 6 months of experience in a Neurology or Neurosurgery subspecialty clinic setting is preferred but not required. All individuals applying for this announcement must be certified (or eligible for certification within 2 years of graduation) by the National Commission on Certification of Physician’s Assistant (NCCPA). Recent graduates eligible for boarding by the National Commission on Certification of Physician’s Assistant (NCCPA) should also apply.
