Job Description

Advanced Pain Care is now hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team of professionals in the Waco/Woodway office.

COMPENSATION: Package includes annual salary and bonus up to $130K, a sign on bonus of $5,000, and a relocation package of $3,000.

The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent specialist and member of our professional team who is responsible for managing and coordinating health care for our pain management patients.

The PA/NP is required to follow both State and Federal rules and regulations and standards of care, including but not limited to the assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Functions independently performing age-appropriate history and physicals for complex pain management perioperative patients.
  • Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
  • Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability, including but not limited to ordering appropriate durable medical equipment and devices.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of interventions

JOB REQUIREMENTS SKILLS & EXPERTISE:

  • Graduate from an accredited PA/NP Program
  • Current Texas PA or NP License
  • Current Texas Medical Board Certification
  • Current Texas DPS
  • Current DEA
  • Current NPI number
  • Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Strong computer skills and ability to effectively navigate Electronic Medical Record
