Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Solo Board Certified Internist seeking Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for busy office-based medical practice.  This caring health care professional would be responsible for providing quality care in an outpatient setting under supervision of the attending physician. *Will consider part-time position*

Responsibilities would include:

* Perform history and physical exam, acute and chronic care, order pertinent lab and diagnostic studies with interpretation and consultation.

* Initiate and manage appropriate medication within the scope of practice.

* Establish and document health care plan and prognosis, maintaining complete records of each case.

* Evaluate patient phone calls and requests for patient medication refills.

* After hours call required (phone calls only).

Full time Monday – Friday (no weekend office hours)

Desired Skills and Experience

Successful completion of an approved Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner program.

Registered/Certified by the North Carolina Medical Board/Board of Nursing (Current)

Primary care experience preferred.

Must have excellent clinical skills, interpersonal skills, computer skills, and organizational skills.
