Summer Positions for Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants or Registered Nurses AND camp for your children!
Camp Emerson is a family-owned, residential camp in western Massachusetts. Each summer we welcome 200 girls and boys ages 7-15 from the Northeast, across the US and 10% children from around the world. These are bright, nice kids who can’t wait to learn new skills and make friends. Our 100 passionate staff teach over 50 activities and the children design their own schedules. We are also experts at supporting children with food allergies.
We are looking for Health Staff for the summer to complete our team. We have a combination of 3 resident Health Staff at all times – NPs, PAs and RNs. To be a successful candidate, you need a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience with preference given to Pediatrics, Family Practice or Emergency Medical. We are looking for kind people who put the children first and can work as a team. There are no prima donnas here! You’ll find a very professional group of adults who work hard and laugh too.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing the health care of the children and adults resident at the camp. Specifically, dispensing medication, evaluating illnesses and treating, communicating with parents and administration, following standing orders and recommending practices to keep everyone healthy and safe. The Health Center is overseen by our Pediatrician. The Berkshire Medical Center is 15 minutes away and there are emergency services in the town to support the team should the need arise.
2, 4 or 6 week assignments from late June to early August. These are live-in only positions.
Compensation includes salary, room and board, excellent healthy food (no chicken nuggets), time off to enjoy camp, days off and FREE tuition for camp age children (7-15). Your camp age children can attend for the full 6 week summer (or the 4 week or 2 week session).
