Job Description
Busy Orthopaedic physician in the Dept. of Orthopaedics at a large multispecialty medical group is seeking a Physician Assistant. Physician’s practice focuses on surgical and nonsurgical treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. The office is located in Purchase, New York. The office is equipped with EMR system and offers full services in Radiology, Physical Therapy, MRI, CT Scan as well as multiple specialists for referrals, including orthopaedic spine surgeon.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for evaluating patients, determining appropriate test, formulating treatment plans, prescribing medications, performing injections, splinting/casting, and assisting the physician during all aspects of patient care in an office setting and in the operating room. The candidate must be self-sufficient, highly motivated and proactive in patient care. The candidate should be conscientious, personable, and possess excellent written and communication skills. The candidate should also have the ability to work well both independently and with others in a team setting. Anticipated work schedule is 60% office, 40% operating room time.
Required Qualifications

• Experience in orthopaedics / musculoskeletal medicine preferred, but not required
• Surgical experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
• NY Physician Assistant license is required.
