Job Description

The University of Texas Health Science Center Department of Psychiatry has two (2) positions for Mental Health Nurse Practitioners. Both positions are in outpatient clinics in an academic setting.  One clinic is within the practice plan of UT Health San Antonio psychiatry clinic at 7703 Floyd Curl Drive; the other is at the Robert B Green clinic in downtown San Antonio.  In both settings, the provider will diagnosis and treat patients with ambulatory mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, and ADHD.  We have adult, geriatric and child patients; the provider can be matched to the patient group of their interest.  The provider will have autonomy of practice but easy assess to psychiatrist attendings.   The provider will interact with psychiatry residents, nursing and medical students.  No call or after hours duties.
