Orthopedic Institute Clinic is Hiring

Physician Assistant or Certified Nurse Practitioner

Located in Sioux Falls, SD, Orthopedic Institute is a Physician Owned Clinic with 16 physicians and 176 employees, all working as a team to serve the region for over 30 years.

Walk-In Clinic

Primary responsibilities include:

v  Evaluating and treating patients in a walk-in clinic environment

v  Patient evaluation and examination, injections, medical management

v  Coordinating diagnostics and/or referrals to a physician as necessary

 

Requirements:

v  Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and clinic staff.

v  Bachelor’s degree and successful completion of accredited physician assistant program; National Certification from the National Commission on Certification of PA’s

v  State PA license required to begin employment

 

Hospitalist

Primary responsibilities include:

v  Assesses patient status by obtaining health history information and conducting chart reviews; assessing presenting issues, risk factors, and performing appropriate physical examination; integrates data to determine treatment and/or discharge plan

v  Collaborates with physicians and other clinicians in managing patient care during hospital stay. Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.  Observes and records patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatment to review with physicians.

v  Writes admissions orders, pre and post-surgical orders, and progress notes and completes discharge summaries

v  Makes rounds with the physician

v  Provides Emergency Room coverage which may involve evaluating patients, performing history and physicals, applying casts and splints, removing sutures, dressing small wounds

 

Requirements:

v  Bachelor’s degree, MS preferred

v  Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program or successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program

v  Current State License required to begin employment
