PA or NP needed for well- established, busy Cardiology practice in Orlando.
This is a busy, comprehensive clinic that sees a wide variety of cardiovascular conditions including arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, peripheral arterial disease and venous insufficiency. In addition, we frequently manage numerous cardiac associated conditions such as syncope, electrolyte imbalance, stroke, GI bleed and fatigue. This is an excellent opportunity for the ambitious PA/NP who likes to continually learn. The physician also sees hospital patients and the motivated candidate can learn hospital medicine as well, including acute care. If you are interested, you may also conduct educational seminars to educate colleagues on new cutting edge information and techniques.
The candidate will have their own patient schedule, develop relationships with those patients and share in complete medical management for their patients. You will see new patients as well as routine follow ups and pre and post procedural visits. You will be able to order Echo’s, stress tests, Chest X rays, and all other lab work, etc. The office is comprehensive and has an in-house lab, stress lab, catheterization lab, venous ablation clinic, ECP and pacemaker clinic. There are opportunities to work with our vein clinic, pacemaker clinic, Cardiac Cath lab and external counter pulsation.
The physician you will work with is well known and respected within the community. He is an interventional cardiologist who also works in electrophysiology implanting pacemakers and defibrillators. He is an adjunct professor at various medical schools and works closely with internal medicine residents because he loves to teach. He believes in a holistic approach to medicine and prefers to treat the whole patient rather than the disease. As such, you will sharpen and maintain all of your internal medicine skills in this practice. The physician also advocates a plant based diet and aggressive lifestyle changes to prevent cardiovascular disease.
The position is clinic based and Monday through Friday. There are no weekends required. There is call required one week out of three but the call is very light in volume involves triaging phone calls only and no on-site presence.
